Philosophy
Honest execution
for serious people.
Most productivity tools are paid in attention, so they are built to keep you looking. Lucidity is built to be closed: it says what is true about the day, then gets out of the way.
Core principles
Observational, not performative
Lucidity records how you work and shows you what it sees. It does not manufacture urgency and it does not pretend a streak is progress. When it is unsure, it says so. The data is a mirror, not a scoreboard.
Premium through restraint
Premium means expensive in judgment, not in ornament. Every feature has to earn its maintenance. There is no mascot, no confetti, and no pattern designed to keep you here longer than the work takes. The absence of noise is the luxury.
Honest under constraint
When you planned six hours and did three, Lucidity neither shames you nor hides it. It writes down what happened, lets the record shape tomorrow's cap, and moves on. Over weeks the plans get realistic. That is the whole gain.
The loop
Three modes that share one record.
Plan, focus, reflect. Each mode writes to the same record and reads what the last one wrote. It gets more accurate with use, which is arithmetic, not magic.
Plan: Brain OS
Write a Today Contract: three to five tasks, sized by what you actually finished on days like this one. About two minutes, because the system already did the remembering.
Focus: Focus OS
Run the session with a timer built on timestamps. Pauses are classified, each task gets its own segment, and a closed lid cannot inflate the record. Nothing to correct afterwards.
Reflect: Insights OS
Ten patterns from the record: your best window, how far estimates run over, where you tend to lose the thread. Each with a confidence score. Then they go back into the next contract.
What we reject
What Lucidity will not build
- A streak that breaks because you were ill
- A tree that dies when you take a break
- Notifications that run on guilt
- A number that goes up and means nothing
- Complexity sold as power
- A model that talks all day and shows no evidence
If you would rather know.
Start free. No card, no setup evening. The first contract takes about two minutes.
